Clinical Correlates

OVERVIEW
Clinical Correlates is a 3 day course designed as a capstone experience to follow the third year core clerkships. The curriculum was specifically designed with input from student survey data as well as student and faculty focus groups. It is likely that the themes presented each year will differ as the course is designed to address knowledge / experience gaps of each senior class.
Students will spend the week learning about medicolegal issues, business of medicine, health care reform, patient safety and quality indicators. Interactive sessions on how to research clinical questions, improve sign outs, and handle professionalism issues will complement the didactic sessions. We are fortunate to be able to provide this innovative educational experience to our rising fourth years.
