Person Centered ThinkingPerson Centered Thinking Person Centered Thinking refers to the foundational skills and tools that underlie all person centered assessment, planning and delivery of supports. This workshop teaches structured ways of listening and finding balance between what makes a person happy and what helps them stay healthy and safe. It provides effective facilitation methods for gathering, organizing, powerfully presenting, and continually acting on on-going learning.

The Boggs Center is excited to offer this new workshop, the most recent offering from The Learning Community for Person Centered Practices, developers of person centered thinking and essential lifestyle planning. The workshop represents an ongoing international collaboration comprised of many noteworthy contributors and provides a wealth of information on best practice in helping people connect in their communities. This course is designed to help direct support professionals and others to assist people who use supports to participate and make contributions in their communities. Specific tools and strategies for understanding, planning, supporting, and sustaining community connections are covered. Prerequisite: Person Centered Thinking is recommended but not required
Registration Details Fee information: Employees of DDD, staff of agencies funded by DDD, as well as individuals with disabilities and family members - no charge. All other registrants - $150 for Person Centered Thinking and $75 for In Community. Continuing Education Available: ASWB, CCMC, CRCC, NJDOE for Person Centered Thinking.
